The Weir Family Health Clinic is a GP practice based in Bandon, Co. Cork. We have 6 GPs and 3 practice nurses. The practice was established by Drs Kelly and McGinley and in 2012 in the Riverview Shopping Complex in Bandon.
We provide for private patients, medical card holders and those with doctor visit cards. We are an approved surgery for the Garda Siochana Doctor of Choice scheme.
Our highly trained and highly experienced team of general practitioners include our principal GPs Dr Noreen Kelly and Dr Anne-Marie McGinley. All our staff are highly qualified and we offer a wide range of services which are detailed in our services and fees section. We take tremendous pride in the level of our care we provide to every patient, and all our medical staff are compliant with mandatory Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

We are available for appointments from 9am-12.30 and from 2.30pm-5.00pm Monday to Friday. Administrations staff are available between 8.45-9am, 5.00-5:30pm (Monday - Thursday) and until 5PM (Friday) so that prescriptions and letters can be collected at a convenient time.
All consultations are by appointment Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.00pm, and same day appointments are available for urgent reviews. All appointments last 15minutes, so if you feel you would need more time than this please let us know. Also if you feel more than one person will need review please let the receptionist know so that all files can be ready for the doctor or nurse. If you are booking for a special procedure usually two appointments will be required. We strive at The Weir Family Health Clinic to keep our appointments running on time so that you are not kept waiting. However from time to time emergencies do occur which may delay us and we thank our patients for understanding this. Housecalls are done for emergencies but we would advise patients to attend the surgery where possible, as there is more diagnostic equipment available in the practice to aid on diagnosis and management. If you feel you need a housecall please ring the surgery before 10.30am so that a doctor can be made available for the housecall.
Out of hours medical cover is available when the surgery is closed. This is provided by SouthDoc and can be contacted on 1850 335 999.
